NAIMBLANK

NAIM is an inter-denominational mission serving in coastal villages, interior communities, and urban cities primarily across Western Canada, Washington State, and New Mexico. There are various ministry venues, and much creative freedom in bringing the love and good news of Jesus Christ to the First Nations peoples.

NAIM has different Staff Categories depending on community needs and staff approach:

Regular missionary - Raising support and ministering in the local community. This allows staff to serve in the traditional sense 'around the clock'.

Community member missionary - Taking a 'regular' job within a Native community. This gives staff a unique and effective platform to model the Christian life.

Summer Ministry Initiative - A three or seven week summer program that places families or teams in a reserve or urban setting for hands on ministry (see below).

Internships - Generally between three months and two years. Interns are placed in a Native community where NAIM missionaries are currently serving. They receive mentorship and practical experience in servanthood ministry. Click here for more information.

Some of NAIM’s ministries include:

First Nations Partnership (FNP)

First Nations Partnership seeks to form an interdependent partnership with First Nations people in ministry. The vision of FNP is to increase involvement of First Nations people within NAIM.

Summer Ministry Initiative (SMI)

SMI is a 3 or 7 week summer program that places families or teams in a reserve or urban setting for hands on ministry. We are passionate about mentoring people towards Jesus, and His missional call on our lives. Check out what's in store for summer 2012! Download SMI Application (PDF)

Community Ministries

Most NAIM staff are involved in communities in capacities such as: hospital visitation, prison ministry, networking, children’s ministry, and education.

Youth Ministries

Red Soul Rising and Christ for Native Youth seek to partner with Native churches in the development of culturally relevant ministry.

Kla-How-Ya Wilderness Trails

An outdoor education program designed to teach spiritual lessons through adventure learning.

Path Finders Bible Adventures

Path Finders Bible Adventures is an exciting Bible-based curriculum that teaches First Nations children in a culturally meaningful way. It is packed full of stories, games, crafts and activities to help kids of all ages come to know their identity through Christ.

Songs to the Creator

NAIM’s music ministry works alongside Native Christians to develop ways of worship that meaningfully express their culture.

Discipleship Trips

Missions trips to Mexico that range between 2 weeks and 2 months are an avenue NAIM has used to expose upcoming leaders to ministry.

In a village or a city... for a summer or longer.
If you feel the Lord is calling you to step out into Native ministry, please drop us an email. We would count it a privilege to hear from you, and be a part of God's plan for your life!
