Jacob and Chelsea were born and raised in Washington State. They met in December 2014 on a church mission trip to Gold River, BC, and have been married since April 2016. They have four precious children, aged 6, 4, 3 and 1. Both Jacob and Chelsea earned a B.S. in Biblical Studies through Moody Bible Institute’s Distance Learning program.
Jacob first became involved with NAIM the summer after he graduated high school in 2008 with their SMI (Summer Ministry Initiative) program where he spent the summer in Gold River. He later spent one full year (2013-2014) interning in Gold River, also through NAIM. Since then, he has returned many times for visits and continues to have a heart for Gold River. Jacob currently helps with the youth in their local church in Washington state and is looking forward to working with the youth and young families in Gold River.
Chelsea has been serving in their local church with varied roles from serving in nursery ministry, making meals for those in need, and youth Sunday School. Her primary ministry is in their own home by raising and homeschooling their four young children. She also informally mentors several young mothers in her community. She is looking forward to connecting with children and families in Gold River.
They are currently living in Washington and have begun support raising for Gold River.
