Don and Mary have been serving as missionaries with NAIM for over 30 years. For 25 years, they lived and ministered among the Lil'wat People in Mount Currie, British Columbia, three hours north of Vancouver. Their focus was friendship evangelism and discipleship, which included Bible studies, mentorship, and participation in community activities. Don also led Kla-How-Ya Wilderness Trails camps in BC and Alberta for over a decade.
Today, Don and Mary live in Abbotsford, BC, and serve with the First Nations Partnership team, which seeks to recruit, encourage, and help First Nations believers to enter the missions force and reach their own people for Christ. As an active member of NAIM's Recruitment team, Don visits local colleges to meet students, follows up on inquiries, and helps believers enter ministry.
Don and Mary still regularly visit Mount Currie for weddings, funerals and community events. The annual Red Soul Rising Camp in Sachteen, which they started over 13 years ago alongside a church in Chicago, is still a huge part of bringing together this First Nations community, and helping both kids and adults to know and love Jesus Christ.
